Quinton Harris - 2014 Short Course African Records & World Rankings

Swimmer Profile – Okuhle Mntambo

In the recent times Okuhle swam at the Level 1 Champs in Bloemfontein, which was a fantastic experience for Okuhle! In March of this year she swam for Arboretum Primary School at the uThungulu Aquatics Schools trials and went on to compete for uThungulu at the KZN Schools Trials in May! Okuhle said, "I'm looking forward to many years of swimming and I want to become one of South Africa's best swimmers!"

Okuhle, you are a bright shining star! Your smile is infectious and your dedication to your swimming is inspiring! From all of us at Fish Eagle Swimming Club, we wish you every success for this year and we know you'll achieve your dreams!

Swimmer Profile - James Swan

James trains three times a week, in the summer months, at Swan Swim School, with his Father and Coach, Peter Swan. James says, with a big smile, "My favourite stroke is Breaststroke. This season I would like to achieve Level 2 entry times and I want to swim the Leomat, Midmar Mile, Eland Mile, Ubeghane Mile and the All Night Swim again!"

Swimmer Profile - Kimberley Swan

Kimberley, for the first time, will be training five days a week this season in the summer, under the guidance of her Father and Coach, Peter Swan, with the Swan Swim School Squad! Kimberley says, "I'm determined to get my Level 3 times this season!"

FESC - Swimmer Profile – Chanél van Zyl

Chanél, now age 14 says, "When I was younger I used to fantasize about taking part in the Olympic Games, but as I got older I just wanted to achieve my Natal Colours. To me nothing is better than knowing all those tiring, long and hard training sessions paid off, especially when I improve my personal best times each year. My passion for swimming is still as strong as the very first moment and every year turns out to be worth it!"

Quinton Harris, at the age of 32 years old, currently holds 12 SA Disability Swimming Records in the S4, SM4 and SB3 categories. This is an amazing enough feat on its own, but when you hear his whole story it is nothing short of unbelievable!
